About Ngā Tohu Reo

Ngā Tohu Reo o Raukawa is a biennial awards event that celebrates and acknowledges members of our Raukawa community who actively engage in the revitalisation of te reo Māori . The event recognises the fantastic efforts of a wide range of groups and individuals that have a direct impact on increasing te reo Māori use in the Raukawa takiwā.

An enormous amount of effort and planning goes into promoting and preserving our unique language and cultural traditions – Ngā Tohu Reo o Raukawa provides an opportunity for the Raukawa Charitable Trust to acknowledge and thank local businesses, community and education groups, and individuals who have taken up this important challenge of ensuring the vitality of our language, culture and traditions are upheld now and into the future.
